Born and raised in Victoria Bay, the Garden Route, the vast natural surroundings provided me with a backyard where I could spend countless hours exploring and discovering new things. This is also where my love for surfing began with the Wilderness & Victoria Bay area boasting some of the best and uncrowded waves in South-Africa.

When I was 18 I moved to the Netherlands for my IBMS degree, there I started working for various surf companies such as Ripstar and Surfana during my university holidays. Soon, I realised the beauty of sharing the stoke and love of surfing with people who have never had the opportunity to experience it for themselves.

While in Europe I also travelled around the world to surf places such as France, Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Ireland, and Indonesia. After three years I went back to visit my family at home in Victoria Bay, the Garden Route, and that’s where the idea of starting Surfends began. Coming back to SA with new eyes, I was astounded at the raw beauty of the place and felt a strong desire to show other people this beautiful part of South-Africa.

HOW TO GET TO US

ROUTE 1
Cape Town Int. airport is 4,5 hr drive from Victoria Bay Road, where Surfends is located. Rent a car and travel down the beautiful Garden Route which is lined with wine lands, steep mountains, and vast green landscapes.
